“Im A Thug” (Produced By @DJMustard) – YG (@YG) ft. Meek Mill (@MeekMill)

YG has turned into one of my favorite new California acts. 2 years ago, I heard his music and turned it off instantly. But after a couple interviews, researching & features, I became a fan. YG is another young artist tryna better his life through the entertainment industry. Not the most lyrical, but knows how to make party tracks. This is a new single featuring Maybach Music Group’s own Meek Mill called “Im A Thug.” It’s set to be on YG’s Gangsta Grillz mixtape, dropping soon.

“Pussy” – Don Trip (@MrDonTrip) ft. 2 Chainz (@2Chainz)

Let me introduce Don Trip to some of you people who are sitting with the puzzled face. Don Trip is a rapper from the Tennessee area. He is mostly known for his work with fellow Tennessee rapper & former Cash Money signee, Starlito. Trip also made a name for himself after a studio performance of his single “Letter To My Son,” which is a heart-felt song describing how he can’t be around his son, due to relationship issues with his ex, although he wants to. With all his recent success, becoming a youtube sensation and getting Cee-Lo Green on the mastered version of “Letter To My Son,” Trip is prepping for a Gangsta Grillz with DJ Drama. Everybody knows once Drama is working with you, you’re a somebody. Don teams up with Atlanta superstar 2 Chainz for this “gutta” banger. The song is about being in love with every mans favorite thing from a female. Pretty dope. Look out for more Don Trip and don’t let this song turn you off. For a southern rapper, he’s pretty nice.

Schoolboy Q (@SchoolboyQ) Gets Interviewed By DJ Drama (@DJDrama) On Shade45

Schoolboy Q is my favorite “new” rapper. I think I described this in an earlier post. Q is a product of his influences. “Biggie & Nas, put they a– in a blender, sprinkled some 50 & came with this n—-” A west coast Hoover Crip with an east coast flow and mind frame. Schoolboy Q recently had a free show in Atlanta for charity and from what I’ve heard, the venue was at capacity. His progression is a great one to watch. This dude’s name is buzzing from coast to coast. His independent project, Habits & Contradictions, is still the hottest project of 2012 so far. With the team he has backing him & the influential peers he has, Schoolboy is gonna blow up. Out of the TDE camp, he is the song-maker. In this interview, he sits with DJ Drama and discusses: The Start Of His Career, Selling Oxy Cotton, Black Hippy, New West Movement, Linking With ASAP Rocky, Future Projects & Sports. Hope yall enjoy. TDE. HiiiPower…

ASAP Rocky (@asvpxrocky) Gets Interviewed By DJ Drama (@DJDrama)

That Pretty Motherfucker drops by Gangsta Grillz Radio while in Atlanta to get interviewed by DJ Drama. Rocky talks about the average topics: ASAP, Harlem, TDE. But Drama digs in his bag to try and pull some more out of the ASAP ringleader. ASAP discusses ASAP flings, influences & why he doesn’t want to be a superstar. Drama also hits Rocky with some hip-hop trivia of previous hip-hop legends. ┬áThis interview shows how the Harlem rapper & his friends are comfortable yet learning to mature in the music industry, ending with an acapella freestyle from the ASAP Mob.
